It is officially acknowledged that there are 135 different ethnic groups in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Among these various and diverse ethnic peoples, there is one minority ethnic Khamee group living in Pat-Lat-Wa region of southern Chin and northern Rakhine state. This minority Khamee people have fascinating ancient belief and religious practices. Thorough focus of attentions and objectives for research is: On their belief and worship to the Sun and Moon since pre-historical age, their later belief in the various traditional spirits, and their gradual conversion to Buddhism and a few to Christianity and their general religious. Throughout the research process, one of the interesting changes in the life of Khamee people that researcher came to know is their gradual conversion to Buddhism from their former religious belief in the traditional spirits and some people in Christianity. Each ethnic group from 135 ethnic peoples of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar possesses its particular religious beliefs. Main purpose is to make other ethnic peoples of the country come to know and appreciate these enchanting stories of Khamee people.
