Abstract
This paper presents previous editions and the last editions of the Khuddakapāṭha. It discusses the manuscripts, associated inscription and printed version of the Khuddakapāṭha. The Khuddakapāṭha is structured to ensure faithful preservation and transmission. In addition, this paper is based on FBSC Inscription version, Hantharwady, and four MSS. It also records the significant information contained in the colophons of the manuscripts, which it omitted, and corrects numerous errors in old editions. Therefore, the epigraphy and paleography are using the vital approach reads to the study. The aim of this paper is to afford a better understanding of the words, its special relationship among the texts and the nature of its historical transmission. A key component of this paper is an edition and annotated translation of the Khuddakapāṭha. This paper has been allocated according to the physical evidence, using a careful selection of four palm leaf manuscripts, one inscription, and two printed editions. The base text of this paper has been alternated between SBSC version and another version. But it is not representing the reconstructed archetype of the text corrected only where absolutely necessary. A major finding is that including silent emendations of the received text. For that reason, this paper would be focused on four methods: Sann, Alinka, Grammar, Myanmar writing style. More generally, this paper demonstrates the indispensability of manuscripts for the historical study of Pāli language and literature.
