It is seen that in contemporary age, people widely use social media. It is a social networking website where users can share news, writings poems, comments and post photos. As long as the social media are used, some people use them in a positive way but, some people negatively distribute or share and compose hate speech on social media for a variedly of purpose with no sense of shame as regards the deed. For that reason, social media has become the place for the one who would like to deliver the distribution of hate speech concerning with religion, the ethnic problem and diversity of political ideologies. Online hate speech cannot be stopped in the current situation. Hate speech is rife in each country. It is true that hate speech occurs based on the diversity of ideology of politics, belief of religion and diversity of ethnicity. This dissertation highlights the critical analysis of hate speech from the Buddhist perspective appearing in the Myanmar language. Recently, it is examined that the several Facebook groups wrote their timelines in Myanmar as vectors of hate speech and misinformation. Therefore, the key objective of dissertation is to critically study hate speech on social media from the Buddhist perspective and to highlight bad results of using hate speech in social life and to promote an avoidance of hate speech (unwholesome verbal action) by raising awareness. By presenting dissertation, it is hoped that peaceful and harmonious society will be set up after removing hate speech.
