Abstract: The study focuses on the present structure of Ayeikmahtwet Cetiya in Mandalay as it lost the historical trail of the original form through centuries. The purpose of study is to understand the style of Ayeikmahtwet Cetiya in line with Theravāda tradition and also to examine the types of Cetiya in Myanmar with the comparison of the different structures of Cetiyas in the period of Dagung, Sri Ksetra, Bagan and Konbaung. For this study, historical analysis is utilized through historical skills and religious perspective. Data is collected from the relevant historical inscription and literature of Myanmar, as well as reliable online research database. It is comprehended that the structure of Ayeikmahtwe Cetiya is developed and changed through centuries and the study will contribute the in-depth understanding on the present structure of Ayeikmahtwet Cetiya in Mandalay.
