The problem of the research is disqualification of the Abbots, and becoming the less of novices in villages. Most educated monks do not want to live in remote and isolated places. The monks (Vuḍḍha Pabbajjita), thus, have a chance to become Abbots. As they did not learn Pariyatti, they could not be able to teach the novices. The purpose of this research is to upgrade the qualifications of abbots and to flourish the dispensation with students again. The lack of novices in monasteries is a severe problem. The Abbot Training Schools were established to solve it but not achieved a complete success. It needs to find out why the project did not succeed. The scope is Sagaing division Abbot Training School (Shwebo) and some villages in the upper part of Meza creek in Banmauk Township. The data sources are the lecturers and students from the Abbot Training School (Shwebo), and the abbots from Banmauk Township. The anniversary magazines of Shwebo Abbot Training School and the books published from the Department of Religious Affairs are the other sources. This research uses case study method, and the data collection method also contains interviews and asking research questions. The technique used for data analysis is manual. The collected data were credible because they were from the primary sources. Pointing out the benefits of the abbot training schools made a concentration of people. The monks who desire to get to the training schools became increased. Ven. Kesava, the principal of Abbot Training School (Mandalay) and Ven. Kusala, the principal of Abbot Training School (Shwebo) advocated doing this research.
